ESG Football Academy 2016 and 2014 boys had another fantastic weekend of football at @jpl.gcc in Abu Dhabi.
Both teams performed incredibly well throughout with the 2016’s losing in the plate semi final by golden goal and the U11 boys finishing 5th overall out of 20 very competitive teams.
We are extremely proud of how both teams performed especially our young 2016 team for whom it was their first time abroad play an International tournament.
A massive thank you to our parents who were in attendance showing positive support throughout but also letting us Coach and guide the kids in the way we see best.🙏🏽

A fantastic effort from all 23 Girls who represented ESG Football Academy in Bahrain this weekend.
The girls battled tirelessly against some exceptional opponents of which i am sure they learnt from.
ESG Coach Essa Said, “I’m delighted with how the girls performed throughout the tournament.
We played against some very talented teams and more than held our own.
We knew it was going to be a huge test especially for our the U19 team who were by far the youngest team playing in the open age group.
They came up against much more experienced opponents but never stopped battling which is a credit to them.
We will continue to lead the way providing these opportunities and positive learning experiences for Girls Football here in Oman.
Next stop for our girls will be the @abudhabicup in February.”

It’s been a tough action packed first day in Bahrain at the @jpl_warriors GCC tournament.
It was a slow start for both teams who gradually improved as the day went on.
Our U19 girls have competed exceptionally well playing in the open age group category and the U16 Girls finished the day strongly giving themselves a good chance to qualify for the semi finals.
Both teams are gaining valuable experience and are thoroughly enjoying the occasion.
Time to refuel, rest and recover ready for day 2.
